Marven Of The Great North Woods

Hi! Do you know about the story of Marven of the Great North Woods? It was actually a true story about Kathryn Lasky's dad, Marven, who was sent away to a logging camp in the great north woods. 

 This story tells about a 10 years old boy, Marven, who was sent to a logging camp in the great north woods. He was sent not because that he was doing bad thing, but because an influenza epidemic had strike Duluth, Minnesota in 1918.

The logging camp was scarier than the diseases in Duluth because huge lumberjacks works there. But it ends until he was befriending with Jean Louis-a bearded lumberjack as huge as a grizzly bear and a heart to match. 

I love this story. Because it is full of surprise and adventures.
